James DeLorean is a genre writer who penned three episodes of SYFY’s series The Ark, from Dean Devlin (Independence Day) and Jonathan Glassner (Stargate SG-1). He got his start by climbing the ranks at Devlin’s Electric Entertainment, joining in 2016 as an Office PA, writing scripts on nights and weekends, until ultimately joining The Ark writers’ room several years later. While working as the Writers’ Room Assistant across all three seasons (so far), he wrote a freelance script in Season 2, which landed him two additional scripts in Season 3. Throughout his career, he’s worn many hats - writer, producer, actor, even composer - for shorts, web series, and a musical about a brain parasite. In his spare time, he enjoys long distance running, doting on his golden retriever, and restoring 1980s computers - giving them a second life.
