James DeLorean is a Los Angeles-based TV writer whose credits include three freelance episodes of SYFY's The Ark across Seasons 2 and 3, including a fan-favorite Season 2 episode (Season 3 is currently airing). He brings writers' room experience and production-level execution to every project, with a voice rooted in nuanced character and high-concept genre storytelling.

His work is a dark, subversive, and often funny dissection of how nostalgia and trauma shape identity - and what it takes to move forward. A lifelong genre nerd, his influences range from Back to the Future and RoboCop to Star Trek II, Terminator 2, Gremlins 2, and Short Circuit 2 (all second installments he believes improved upon their predecessors). Outside the writers' room, James spends time with his wife and golden retriever, is an avid long-distance runner, and restores 1980s computers - giving them a second life.
